The inspiration for our Spring, 2011 collection and photo shoot is the comfortable, easy lifestyle and brilliant colors of the Florida Keys. This is where you go to fish, sail, snorkle, swim, and have familyadventures in the sun. Or misadventures. Like when it rains. And rains. Which it did, every day of our photoshoot.But instead of hiding inside, we filmed outside in the downpour. Kids ran around with umbrellas. Our dog, ironically named "Sunny," jumped onto a surfboard and went out for a wet paddle with Andrew. Din and Andrew held Jordan upside down and pretended he was a fish. Everyone dressed up in Easter looks and colored some eggs, stacking them up on Kelly's head while she tried not to giggle and shake.Then the clouds lifted, and our kids took to the palm trees, climbing into colored hammocks, one over the other. Andrew and Jennifer danced and make each other laugh against the jeep we parked on the sand, and our "family" got changed to sail away from the dock.Then, it rained again. The wind kicked up. Everyone got soaked. But we went with it. Because that's what happens in real life. It's about the experiences and moments that you'll never forget. You take lemons, and you make....memories.
